FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CRL-U.S. Aluminum to Premiere Latest Innovations in Glazing Systems at AIA Conference on Architecture 2017

Featured Products Include Award-Winning Systems Designed and Engineered to Enhance Performance, Sustainability, Safety, and Aesthetics

LOS ANGELES, CA - MARCH 30, 2017 - The AIA Conference on Architecture is one of the largest architecture trade shows of the year, attracting thousands of architects, designers, and business leaders from around the world. This year, the event takes place April 27-29 in Orlando, Florida.

CRL-U.S. Aluminum—the leading single-source manufacturer and supplier of architectural glazing systems–will be a major exhibitor at the event once again. The company will be using this event as a platform to launch new solutions across each of their major product lines, which includes entrance systems, storefronts, curtain walls, railings, interior glass wall partitions, and frameless shower door hardware. CRL-U.S. Aluminum will be located in Booth 1163 on the main aisle adjacent to the Continuing Education theaters. The booth will be staffed with CRL’s roster of CSI, CDT certified architectural sales representatives and technical hardware specialists available for on-site consultations and live product demonstrations.

Show attendees will get a first look and be able to receive a free copy of the company’s new HR18 Architectural Railing Systems Catalog. The 500-page, full-color design manual showcases the largest selection of handrail and guardrail systems, tools, and accessories in the industry.

Entice

Entice® Entrance System

A first of its kind, Entice combines all-glass aesthetics with full-frame performance. It features ultra-thin 1-1/8" vertical stiles and thermally broken cladding that produces U-factors as low as 0.33. The system also has the unique ability to support door handle hardware on 1" insulating glass panels using proprietary through-glass fittings. Entice was the recipient of Architectural Record’s “Best in Category” award. It also received the “Product Innovation Award” from Architectural Products.

  Taper Loc

TAPER-LOC® 9BL Base Shoe

The TAPER-LOC 9BL Base Shoe features a unique multiple-hollow design that makes it 30% lighter than standard base shoes. The system meets 2015 IBC revisions requiring laminated glass in guardrail applications and it’s the first and only base shoe in the market that has ICC-ESR approval. Architectural Record awarded it “Best in Category” during its 2016 Record Products competition. CRL will be providing live demonstrations of their patented dry-glaze system every hour, all three days.

Transpara

Transpara™ Vertically Frameless Shower Door System

Transpara provides all-glass aesthetics by eliminating the need for door hinges and vertical framing. This produces a striking shower enclosure with uninterrupted glass spans from wall to wall. Low-profile top and bottom rails further enhance visuals. Transpara was an “Editor’s Choice” during Architectural Record’s 2016 Record Products competition.

  Double Glazed

487 Double Glazed Office Partition

The acoustically-rated 487 Double Glazed Office Partition System offers an optimal STC rating compared to traditional office partition systems. This reduces sound transmission while allowing ample natural light to flow through building interiors. The 487 Double Glazed Office Partition accommodates standard and acoustic doors, along with a variety of glass including switchable privacy glass.

StormWall XL

StormWall™ XL Hurricane-Resistant Curtain Wall

The NFRC-rated StormWall XL Curtain Wall is engineered to meet the most demanding performance requirements in areas exposed to hurricane winds and airborne debris. The system is Miami-Dade Certified (NOA), has Florida Product Approval, and offers a design pressure of up to +100/-100 psf.

  Monterey

Monterey™ Bi-Folding Door System

Monterey creates transformative spaces. Top-hung bi-folding glass panels open with minimal effort and stack to the side, creating expansive views and a seamless transition to the outdoors. The system has recently been upgraded with stainless steel hardware for improved performance. Monterey has Florida Product Approval and comes in a thermally broken option. The system was the winner of Window & Door Magazine’s “Most Innovative Door” award.

“The AIA Conference on Architecture is an excellent platform for us to engage with the design community and discuss industry needs and trends,” said Lloyd Talbert, President of CRL-U.S. Aluminum. “Architects and specifiers in attendance are seeking innovative solutions and project partners that can help them achieve their design intent. We’re there to oblige.”
